Cilantro

You will find that when using cilantro it is best to use fresh cilantro, especially when cooking with the Northern Indian food culture. Once the leaves are wilted, they are best cut and used in salads.

It can be challenging to create a hot, steamy curry with fresh cilantro in the mix. So, when it comes to seasonings, try mixing fresh cilantro with cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger for a tasty concoction. Now, if you find yourself in the need of some green on a cold, rainy day. You can add chopped parsley to give your food some zing, as well.

For a warm and inviting dish that has a slight tang from the curry. You can add cubed tomatoes to the mix. Crushed coconut provides wonderful touch to any dish and also gives a very cooling flavor.

Even though we do not typically think of soup as being spicy, when you stir fry onion, tomatoes, and carrot in a nice, hot soup they go from a mushy mess to a silky smooth, easy to consume the dish. Adding cream is another way to boost the flavor of creamy soup.

Spicy Pumpkin Soup is made by chopping a fresh onion, ginger, and a couple of garlic cloves. You will also need to add three tablespoons of ghee (clarified butter) and one and a half cups of water to a large pot. Add a cup of cubed potatoes, a cup of carrots, and a little minced onion.
